About the Role

The Data Science Manager will oversee a brilliant team of data scientists and researchers dedicated to driving influential projects. Your focus will be on program management, people management, strategic roadmapping, and optimal resource allocation. This role is crucial for the smooth execution of complex data science ventures, from inception to deployment, ensuring global standards and utmost precision.

Key Responsibilities

People Management: Lead and foster growth within your team, emphasizing psychological safety and continuous learning.

Program Management: Ensure meticulous execution and delivery of data science projects, adhering to timelines and budgets.

Resource Allocation: Strategically manage resources to bolster team efficiency and achieve project targets effectively.

Roadmapping: Collaborate cross-functionally to outline and maintain a robust roadmap in sync with the company’s goals and market demands.

Dependency Management: Proactively identify and address dependencies and risks, ensuring smooth project progression.

Team Support: Cultivate a supportive and inclusive culture, guiding the team through challenges and encouraging high performance.

Communication: Act as the primary liaison for project updates, advocating transparency and alignment within the team and with senior stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a relevant field. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of leadership in managing technical teams, preferably in data science, with a proven track record in fast-paced environments.

Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of data science tools and methodologies, and adept at building relationships across various teams.

Industry Expertise: Previous experience in healthcare or wearable technology is beneficial but not mandatory.
