About the position

As a part of Cabify's Data Science team, you will be uniting with a group of highly driven specialists who have access to all of the company's data. The team is engaged in all key areas of the company, including vehicle and route management, understanding user experiences, determining prices, detecting frauds, and optimizing marketing (see for yourself: , , ). You will be employing state-of-the-art tools and infrastructure to upgrade daily operations in over 40 cities across the globe. Cabify's Data Science team offers a unique chance to not only examine and acquire knowledge but also implement innovative ideas that will dictate the future of our cities.

In the role of a Data Scientist in our team, you will:

• Engineer high-yield data science projects, working in close collaboration with other data, engineering, product, and business teams.
• Participate in analyzing the results of real-life experiments, adhering to academic scientific methods and procedures, to demonstrate the impact of the new product features we develop.
• Create new machine-learning models.
• Assist in turning the team’s technical knowledge into real and tangible business insights that add value to the company.
• Take part in product development discussions, bringing the data science perspective to everything we build.

What we’re looking for

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a data scientist position or an equivalent research role.
• A strong educational background, for instance, Masters in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, etc.
• A record of working with Python for data analysis and data visualization libraries.
• Experience in data extraction and processing. Proficient in writing complex SQL code.
• Capacity to work independently in an unstructured setting.

Bonus Points

• Background in Probability & Statistics.
• Experience with exporting machine learning to production, including all its intricacies: deployment, training, testing, model degradation, model serving, etc.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art methods in areas like deep learning models, time series analysis, bayesian statistics, causal inference, etc.
• Experience with geo data modeling, analysis, and visualization.
