Role Overview: Data Scientist - Apprenticeship

As a Data Scientist Apprentice in Believe's Data Office, you will work at the intersection of data management, data engineering, data science, data architecture, and data translation. You will be tasked with developing new data models to enhance artist/label growth and optimize internal processes through innovative data science products. Your role will involve everything from defining business needs to delivering results to various business teams, fundamentally reinventing how data is utilized and presented at Believe to offer actionable insights to our clients and internal teams.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Addressing key cross-functional topics within the company such as estimating TikTok's impact on Spotify, defining and predicting virality, forecasting artist performance, and optimizing marketing campaigns.
• Reconciling data from diverse sources like Spotify, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
• Conducting advanced data analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of statistical/machine learning models that aid decision-making across Believe's value chain from creation to model deployment.
• Monitoring and measuring the performance of deployed models.

Qualifications:

• Final year Master's student in a STEM field.
• A passion for data science, statistics, and machine learning algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in Python and standard data science tools and libraries (Pandas, Matplotlib, Numpy, etc.).
• Prior relevant internship experience, preferably in a startup, scale-up, consultancy, or industry setting.
• Detail-oriented, curious, and capable of working independently.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, able to thrive in a fast-evolving environment.
• Keen interest in data science innovations and trends.
