We're now seeking our first Data Scientist to tackle exciting challenges and help extend our market leadership.

What You'll Do

• Leverage Lago’s rich datasets to develop new product features that enhance customer value.
• Work with both batch and real-time data to build and enhance predictive models for business insights.
• Design, deploy, and manage scalable data models and pipelines.
• Lead full-cycle algorithm development from concept to deployment, including testing and tuning.
• Identify opportunities where data science can significantly impact business operations and product enhancements.
• Collaborate with our Product Engineering team to align solutions with customer needs and market demands.

The Ideal Candidate

• Brings at least 5 years of experience in machine learning, backed by an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Has hands-on programming expertise in Python, Scala, Java, or equivalent languages.
• Exhibits a robust portfolio of building (not just researching) ML applications and systems.
• Possesses a deep understanding of ML best practices, algorithms, and applicable domains.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing, with a strong passion for Open Source contributions.
• Has prior experience in billing or tax-related projects, with a keen interest in early product co-creation phases.
