Role Overview: Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at Fractal Analytics, you will work with both internal teams and clients to effectively interpret and utilize data and insights for business improvement. This role requires a proactive approach to developing, testing, and optimizing machine learning models and client-specific software applications, ensuring superior performance and technical accuracy. Your responsibilities will also include creating application specifications, documentation, and tutorials to convey complex concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experts to gather, validate, and transform data into actionable business intelligence.
  • Develop, test, and deploy robust machine learning models for real-world applications.
  • Troubleshoot and refine customer-focused software solutions with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve application performance issues, focusing on optimization.
  • Create clear and comprehensive application guides, tutorials, and documentation to enhance user engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Interest and ability to become certified on the end client AI platform (training and support provided).
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in applied machine learning, including various regression, classification, and supervised/unsupervised learning techniques.
  • Strong foundation in key mathematical areas such as linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
  • Expertise in handling and analyzing time-series data, cleansing, and normalization.
  • Familiarity with scalable machine learning methods (e.g., MapReduce, streaming technology).
  • Experience in software development with JavaScript and Python.
  • Proficient in using Git or similar version control systems.
  • Self-driven and capable of leading projects independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical ideas.

Compensation:

The wage range for this role is $90,000 to $200,000 and considers factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. Compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee or an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you are eligible to participate in our health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans on the first day of employment. You may also participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment.
