Job Description

Data Scientist - SGS North America, Inc., Rutherford, New Jersey. Providing thought leadership on advanced analytics, identifying issues and opportunities, and proposing feasible solutions; Conducting rigorous analyses on large, complex data sets providing strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based on findings; Mining and analyzing data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of customer solutions, marketing techniques and business strategies; Collaborating with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes; Serving as a trusted partner for the business stakeholders while understanding their business and strategy; Developing processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy; and Creating the business semantic layer through the creation of clean, reliable, and scalable "single-source-of-truth" datasets and dashboards while complying with internal standards, regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science or related field plus three (3) years of experience in any occupation with the required experience/skills.  Experience must include: Three (3) years experience with providing strategic insights, hypotheses and conclusions based upon multiple data sources of the business; Three (3) years experience with Business Intelligence solution development to identify issues and opportunities and drive optimization of business operations and strategies; Three (3) years experience with Data Management including Data Exploration, Data Modeling, Data Preparation, (Extract, Transform, Load), Database Management Systems and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP); Three (3) years experience with Data Analysis including Ad Hoc Analysis, Scenario and What-If Analysis, Statistical and Regression Analysis, Predictive Analytics and Forecasting; Three (3) years experience with Reporting and Data Visualization including Ad Hoc Reporting, Auto-Schedule Reports, Interactive Reporting and Reports Exporting with Interactive Data Visualizations and Data Storytelling.
