Job Summary:

Join us as a Data Scientist and play a pivotal role in formulating strategies and implementing sophisticated analytical models. This position targets enhancements across our various properties including the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, Long Island Nets, and the Barclays Center. As a part of our data science team, your efforts in predictive analytics, AI, and machine learning will propel our business decisions and fan engagement strategies to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine machine learning models that predict business outcomes and fan behaviors.
• Lead the execution of our data science strategy to enhance story-telling through data, providing actionable insights that drive strategic growth.
• Engage in building, validating, and automating predictive models to boost business results.
• Implement best practices in analytics and model experiments in collaboration with our clients.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making across the company.
• Create and maintain robust machine learning systems to support model accuracy and performance.
• Develop strategic initiatives to enhance fan engagement and retention through advanced analytics.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Holder of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a similar field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in machine learning, relational databases, and programming (Python, R).
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful delivery of analytical models that add business value.
• Experienced with cloud environments like AWS and tools like GitHub.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in leading diverse teams.
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in data science.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is minimal (< 5%) and may occasionally include air travel and overnight stays.

Salary Range:

Our salary range for this opportunity is $150,000 - $190,000, commensurate with experience and skills.

Work Environment:

This role is primarily office-based, engaging with teams in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
