Teads Engineering Challenges

• Operate in a high-traffic environment (1.9 billion users/month, 100 billion events/day) with low latency and high availability requirements (2 million requests per second, responses under 150 milliseconds).
• Leverage a diverse tech stack including Scala and TypeScript to optimize performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
• Manage large datasets with millisecond-level access times to execute near real-time auction resolution algorithms (18 million predictions per second).
• Develop user-friendly web products for premium publishers, advertisers, and agencies worldwide.
• Collaborate continuously with Product teams and adapt our Cloud infrastructure for new features and products.
• Elevate a diverse range of profiles to a consistent level of quality and knowledge.

Your Role as a Data Scientist Intern

As a Data Scientist Intern at Teads, you will:

• Collaborate with our data scientists and engineers to address real-time optimization challenges in our SSP.
• Apply feature engineering techniques to enhance the quality and relevance of the data used by our algorithms.
• Explore and evaluate deep learning algorithms for our SSP.
• Develop prototypes and conduct AB tests to measure potential impacts.
• Work with engineers to integrate improvements and new models into our SSP platform.

Qualifications

You will bring the following to our team:

• Final year of engineering school or master’s degree in computer science, specializing in machine learning and/or data science.
• Proficiency in programming, particularly in Python and/or Scala.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and feature engineering techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Initiative, creativity, and the ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in machine learning and/or programmatic advertising is a plus.
