Job Description: Data Scientist

We are looking for dynamic builders and owners with a passion for data analytics. If you are excited to apply advanced analytics and find answers to business questions, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee business inquiries and utilize advanced analytics to provide answers and solutions.
• Partner with various teams such as Commercial and Product to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintain the performance of our data analytics platform ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely delivery of insights.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business process owners to provide necessary data and infrastructure.
• Mentor junior data engineers to enhance team quality.
• Utilize data to deliver predictive and prescriptive insights to both internal Mekari teams and end-customers through data products.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in building machine learning products for end-users.
• Minimum of 2+ years doing quantitative analysis within a large-scale company or fast-paced environment using SQL and Python.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Experience in building production-ready machine learning models.
• Experience in scalable, customer-facing machine learning systems.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with AWS’s ML environment, such as SageMaker.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate machine learning solutions across divisions.
