Job Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, Product (NYDS4), you will:

• Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data to inform the design and development of Meta products.
• Use quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation techniques to gain insights on user interactions with consumer and business products.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
• Influence and support product decisions and launches.
• Engage in diverse projects including product operations, exploratory analysis, product influence, and data infrastructure.
• Use good judgment in selecting methodologies for data analysis and solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field, along with three years of relevant work experience. Additionally, candidates must have three years of experience in:

• Performing quantitative analysis and data mining on complex data sets.
• Using SQL for data querying.
• Scripting with Python.
• Working with statistical or mathematical software like R, SAS, or Matlab.
• Applying statistics or performing A/B testing in an industry setting.
• Implementing machine learning techniques.
• Managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Handling relational databases and large-scale data processing with distributed systems.
• Applying quantitative analysis techniques, including clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics.

Compensation

The annual salary for this role ranges from $209,720 to $235,400, along with bonuses, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
