Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Machine Learning Scientist to lead and implement machine learning projects that enhance Visa's array of products and services. This pivotal role contributes directly to our strategic initiative to become a dominant force in data-driven solutions. A successful candidate will demonstrate a robust academic foundation and excellent software engineering skills, combined with a proactive work ethic and superior problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically develop and execute AI/ML-driven projects to align with corporate objectives and drive business growth.
• Collaborate with teams across product management, engineering, and business development to ensure successful machine learning implementation.
• Manage the thorough lifecycle of machine learning models from development to deployment.
• Set clear goals and metrics to measure the success of machine learning initiatives and communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in machine learning, AI, and related fields to keep our approaches and technologies ahead of the curve.
• Promote an innovative culture within the team, enhancing knowledge and efficiency through continuous learning and best practices.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work from the office for 2-3 specific days a week, with a general expectation of being present 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience or Advanced Degree with 2+ years of experience, or a fresh PhD graduate.
• Expertise in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Statistical Analysis, or related fields.
• Experience with programming in Python/Java/C++ and tools like SAS, R, or Matlab.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities, combined with a strong aptitude for teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TensorFlow, NLP, and large data sets using Hadoop or similar technologies.
• Proven track record of producing recognized scholarly work in the field.
