Role Overview: Data Scientist V, Wallet Authorization and Profiles

We are seeking a Data Scientist V with a specialization in user profiles and authorization to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing the complexity of data interactions and member expectations on the ID.me platform. The successful candidate will enhance security, usability, and personalization, contributing to our mission of becoming a trusted, centralized service for digital identity and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Integration: Analyze large datasets to discern patterns and trends in member behavior. Develop algorithms to integrate member data across platforms, ensuring real-time data accuracy during authentication.
  • Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling: Design and deploy machine learning models to predict data changes and anticipate member needs, reducing friction in data updates and authorization.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement robust validation and cleansing techniques to maintain data accuracy. Continuously monitor quality metrics and develop automated systems to correct inconsistencies.
  • Profile Management Innovation: Lead initiatives to create dynamic member profiles that enhance personalization. Collaborate with UX teams to integrate these profiles into partner authentication screens and ID.me interfaces.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with technical, product, and business teams to enhance platform functionality, emphasizing data governance and secure information sharing, while adhering to regulations and ethical standards.
  • Data Governance and Strategy: Develop policies that support scalable, secure data operations. Advise on strategic data use to drive business decisions and improve member experience.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior Data Scientists.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should meet some of the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, preferably in a SaaS company or mature startup.
  • BS/MS in Data Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency with SQL and the Python ML ecosystem, including pandas, numpy, and sklearn.
  • Experience with recommendation algorithms and deep learning libraries.
  • Experience in handling various data sources, both structured and unstructured.
  • Strong data storytelling and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
