Join our Customer Protection Strategy & Performance team as a Fraud Data Specialist. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the broader Customer Protection teams by designing and delivering automated solutions to enhance Fraud and Scam prevention strategies. Be a promoter of our data-driven culture, bringing your deep expertise in data management and reporting.

Your impact will extend beyond just data management; you'll inspire change, implement effective data solutions, generate actionable insights, and drive rapid decision-making to thwart Fraud and Scams. You will ensure adherence to ANZ's architecture standards while leveraging Cloud platforms to develop Fraud and Scams Data Products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage BAU processes and initiatives related to Fraud and Scams Data
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy while identifying patterns and trends
  • Provide insights to support informed decision-making
  • Design and deliver Fraud and Scams Data Products
  • Develop dashboards and data assets
  • Support timely delivery of insights through key data platform monitoring processes
  • Identify trends to optimise fraud rules and strategies, minimising ANZ's exposure to fraud
  • Define and deliver the end-to-end data roadmap
  • Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 10-15 years of experience with strong technical leadership skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Fraud/Scams/Payment domains
  • Technical expertise in data analytics or data engineering
  • Over 7 years of SQL experience handling large datasets
  • Proficiency with analysis, data manipulation, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Experience with Cloud data services (BigQuery, DBT, DataFlow) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • An analytical mindset ready to unearth insights for business recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
