Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Strategy & Analytics Expert to join our innovative team at SICPA. Reporting to the Head of Research & Innovation Digital Transformation, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to support strategic decision-making and enhance innovation performance.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy Development

• Support senior leadership in defining the innovation data strategy.
• Identify strategic opportunities to create value, improve efficiency, and drive competitive advantage through data.
• Support the development of digital transformation initiatives involving data analytics.

Data Governance and Policy

• Implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Define data ownership and data quality guidelines.

Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy

• Design and implement BI solutions to empower decision-makers with actionable insights.
• Create executive dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance metrics.
• Support strategic recommendations based on BI findings.

Advanced Analytics

• Lead advanced statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning initiatives.
• Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in large datasets.
• Translate complex analytical results into business-friendly insights.

Data Architecture and Infrastructure

• Collaborate with IT teams to design scalable data architectures.
• Optimize data pipelines and models for efficiency and reliability.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Identify areas for process improvement and innovation.
• Iterate on data strategies based on feedback and evolving business needs.

Profile and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems). A PhD degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of work experience in a similar role within an industrial sector.
• Proficiency in machine learning and AI modelling.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Cloud solutions.
• Proficient in programming languages for data analytics and mining (e.g., Python, MATLAB, SQL).
• Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach to ensure operational excellence.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
• Experience with data governance, data modelling, and data architecture.
• Industrial process mindset and familiarity with change management methodologies.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is highly appreciated.
