Overview

Reward Gateway is excited to announce an opening for a DevOps Engineer on our emergent Data Team. This position is open to individuals based in Bulgaria with a preference for Sofia or Plovdiv locations. Role Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Data and the Data Engineering team to develop and maintain our data tooling and infrastructure. Your work will involve automation and enhancement of our data operations within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment, employing platforms such as MySQL, Redshift, and Kinesis, ensuring high availability and performance while coordinating with global Engineering and DevOps teams to standardize practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute deployment processes for critical data management tools and services.
• Ensuring efficient, scalable deployment of models alongside the Data Engineers.
• Maintain the infrastructure's performance, addressing any issues proactively.
• Facilitate the setup of development and staging environments for the Data team.
• Maintain detailed documentation of services and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with various teams to determine infrastructure needs and implement solutions.
• Provide technical training to enhance skills within the Data and Engineering teams.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proven experience in a data-centric role with solid AWS knowledge.
• Understanding of data ecosystems including pipelines, warehousing, and modeling.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, aiming for high efficiency in operations and development.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is advantageous.
