The Data Science & Analytics team at Pratt & Whitney Canada is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to leveraging data science and machine learning to drive actionable insights and outcomes across the organization. The main goals of the team include developing advanced data analytics models, implementing machine learning algorithms, optimizing data pipelines, and delivering data-driven solutions that enhance products and operations in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

• Lead and provide strategic direction to the Data Science & Analytics team.
• Collaborate closely with Business teams to identify opportunities for data science and machine learning solutions.
• Tackle challenging data science and machine learning problems with a significant impact on the organization's success.
• Develop and implement strategies to extract actionable insights from data.
• Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms.
• Attract, hire, and retain top data science talent.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

The Tools You Need to Be Successful

Must Haves

• Education: Master's or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field).
• Experience: Proven experience in leading Data Science & Analytics teams and delivering data-driven solutions in a corporate environment.
• KSA: Strong proficiency in machine learning, fundamental statistics, and data visualization.
• Programming Languages: Expertise in programming languages such as R or Python.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• *Good knowledge of the English language, written and oral, is required for this position considering the operational needs of the Employer and the people with whom the candidate will be called upon to interact.

Assets

• SQL expertise for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Additional certifications or training in data science and analytics.
• Experience with data technologies and platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms for data analysis.
• Knowledge of Data engineering, Data operations, Data Architecture.
