Job Description
Location: Remote
Role Overview:
The Director works closely with our Analytics team, using the Snowflake health data platform to collectively address business issues through technical leadership and the creation of high-quality, scalable data solutions.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Provide value in the form of punctual, high-standard, efficient software components and services
- Work with Analytics, IT, and operational team stakeholders to plan and determine requirements
- Assess current status and develop new solutions that enhance efficiency and performance
- Research new technologies, share knowledge with the team, and integrate new technologies where suitable for the team
- Guide and train other team members in DW best practices and development processes, including automation, validation, quality assurance, and monitoring/alerting
- Use a deep understanding of health data, structure, and business logic to effectively solve problems
- Research data inconsistencies and errors and determine the optimal resolution
- Enhance data governance in Privia, creating structure and process
- Identify skill shortages, mentor lower level analysts and delegate tasks to IT as necessary
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Deliver punctual, well-composed, well-designed, testable, efficient code
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in designing, constructing, and implementing data warehouses
- At least 3 years of experience with related scripting languages or programming frameworks (Snowflake, SQL, Python)
- Familiarity with BI tools such as MicroStrategy
- Understanding of the business value of your work
- Profound knowledge of healthcare data
- Experience in designing data management processes and standards for metadata management, data architecture, data quality, and data security
- Must adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations
