About the Role

As a Director of Applied AI/ML within the Payments AI/ML team, you will work across all lines of business to deliver innovative software solutions. You will have the chance to research, experiment, and develop high-quality machine learning models, services, and platforms that make a substantial business impact. You will also design and implement scalable and reliable data processing pipelines to drive and optimize business results. You will lead a team of ML scientists focused on solving significant business challenges at JPMC by leveraging AI/ML technology.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with all of JPMorgan’s lines of business and functions to deliver software solutions.
• Experiment, develop, and productionize high-quality machine learning models, services, and platforms.
• Design and implement highly scalable and reliable data processing pipelines.
• Perform analysis and insights to drive and optimize business results.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• MS with 10+ years of experience or PhD with 7+ years of experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or equivalents.
• Deep knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Information Retrieval, and Statistics.
• Expertise in at least one area: Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, Reinforcement Learning, Ranking and Recommendation, or Time Series Analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Caffe/Caffe2, PyTorch, Keras, MXNet, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with ETL data pipelines, both batch and real-time data processing, Data Warehousing, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, self-motivation, communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka.
• Experience in distributed system design and development.
