Are you a seasoned Director of Data Engineering passionate about playing a strategic role in the advancement of retail? We are seeking an Area Lead for Data Engineering within our Supply Chain & Enterprise division at H&M Group's headquarters in Stockholm. This pivotal position offers the opportunity to significantly influence our vital sectors and spearhead transformative projects.

In this role, you will lead our engineering strategies, mentor teams, and build strong stakeholder relationships that are vital for our collaborative culture. With a focus on servant leadership, your guidance in the supply chain sector will be integral to maintaining and enhancing our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Engineering Managers, setting strategic goals and nurturing an environment of collaboration and innovation.
• Align technological strategies with business objectives and customer expectations, enhancing program delivery and outcomes.
• Set and oversee high-level KPIs and targets critical for sustaining growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant fields.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in Data Engineering roles, with a preferable background in supply chain management.
• Proven leadership experience, especially in managing high-performing teams in data engineering environments.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark alongside familiarity with cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and data warehousing solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
