We're currently looking for a Director of Business Development for Airborne Systems to help drive our mission and expand our reach.

As Director, Business Development, you are pivotal in leading our strategic pursuits within the avionics and military aircraft sector. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development for Airborne Systems, this role requires proactive engagement in all phases of the business development lifecycle—from identification and pursuit of opportunities, through award and ongoing customer communications. This role demands a dynamic leader ready to forge pathways in military aviation markets and transition these opportunities from capture to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically identify and secure new business opportunities in the Airborne Systems arena, focusing on year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Develop technology and product roadmaps aligning with corporate strategy and customer needs, particularly within the domain of avionics systems.
  • Lead capture initiatives and proposal preparations, addressing program management, budget considerations, and competitive analyses.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key industry participants to strengthen market position and uncover new opportunities.
  • Engage in high-level customer interactions to build trust and gather critical market intelligence.
  • Frequent participation in trade shows and seminars, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of market trends and strategic objectives of potential clients.

What We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, specifically within U.S. Army Aviation or similar sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience with avionics products and technologies and familiarity with rotary wing aviation platforms.
  • Understand governmental acquisition and contracting processes, with a strong ability to lead proposal development and negotiations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, willing and able to obtain a Security Clearance.
