The Role

As the Director of Data Engineering, you will lead our team in enhancing and optimizing data pipelines on platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL Server. Your role will involve strategic problem solving and driving innovations in data processing to improve performance and reduce costs. This position calls for collaboration with various teams to ensure the success of data-driven initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in the development of scalable data infrastructure.
• Optimize data processing workflows and SQL queries for enhanced performance and scalability.
• Oversee cost-reduction initiatives by improving resource utilization and data processing efficiencies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure aligned goals and successful implementation of data projects.
• Define and establish best practices and standards for data engineering to maintain high data quality and reliability.

Who You Are

With over 10 years of experience in data engineering, you have a proven track record of managing complex data systems and leading high-performing teams. Expertise in Python, SQL optimization, and cloud-based data solutions such as Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL Server is essential. You should also have a robust understanding of ETL processes, big data technologies, and CI/CD practices.
