What You Will Do

As the Director of Data Science, you will lead experienced teams of Data Scientists dedicated to developing models that classify millions of videos, images, audio, and text from platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as websites and mobile apps.

DoubleVerify’s Brand Safety and Suitability solutions optimize the contextual fit of brand advertisers’ digital ads, ensuring they are protected and align with relevant content.

This role presents a unique challenge due to its scale and the need to address edge cases that platforms themselves may miss. Your solutions must be both cost-effective and highly accurate. You will play a crucial role in shaping the roadmap and strategy for content classification, collaborating with global teams focused on Content Policy, Labeling Operations, ML Engineering, Operations, and other key engineering groups.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading and mentoring AI research teams to foster innovation and collaboration.
• Driving the agile development of production-scale models.
• Working closely with the ML Engineering team to build advanced platforms for development, testing, and deployment.
• Staying updated with the latest AI advancements to ensure competitive edge, operational efficiency, and model accuracy.

What You Need to Succeed

• Proven experience leading Data Science groups.
• At least 8 years of experience in Computer Vision.
• Experience with NLP and specifically large language models (LLMs) is a significant plus.
• Strong background in deploying large-scale ML systems in production.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset.
• An agile mindset with experience in AI development.
