Google's mission is to drive the landing of machine learning (ML) powered products and innovation for all users by making ML easy to use. Our product managers encompass ML products for data management, experimentation, operations, training, and productionizing. We align our products with the latest research and product innovation, spanning traditional machine learning models and large models, including Large Language Models and Generative AI, across all Product Areas.
As the lead for ML Frameworks and Generative AI Ecosystems, you will be responsible for establishing and driving Google’s strategy for new and existing frameworks such as Jax, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for ML development. You will also oversee Google’s open source and community engagement for developer frameworks and tools to build a rich ecosystem that enables developers to incorporate the latest research capabilities into production quickly.
The generative AI space is rapidly evolving, presenting challenges in integrating generative AI across products to meet latency, cost, quality, reliability, and reproducibility requirements in high-impact industries. This phase of innovation requires deep customer empathy and forward-looking insights into where research innovation is headed. It also involves guiding customers through these transitions with well-supported tools and frameworks for both emerging and existing workloads.
You will stay abreast of industry developments while working closely with both research and product partners. Your role includes understanding the full end-to-end user journey for internal and external customers, identifying pain points, distilling user requirements and feedback, and mapping them into long-term strategic roadmaps. Identifying product features that add value and build trust is crucial.
