Fidelity Investments is seeking a qualified Director of Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst to enhance our Capital Markets group. Key Responsibilities:

As the Director of Data Analytics, you will:

  • Lead data analysis initiatives to support regulatory reporting for Fidelity’s broker-dealers and various customer channels.
  • Manage vast datasets involving trade and customer account data, ensuring they meet stringent external and internal requirements.
  • Proactively work on strategic analysis projects to optimize and enhance the firm’s internal reporting systems.
  • Develop and refine algorithms and analytical methods to detect anomalies, optimize processes, and improve overall data quality.
  • Engage collaboratively with business units and partners across multiple asset classes to address multi-faceted regulatory inquiries and reporting needs.

Desired Expertise and Skills:

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Oracle databases, Excel, and other data visualization tools.
  • A strong analytic mindset with the capacity to understand and manipulate large datasets.Experience in regulatory trade reporting tools such as TRACE, MSRB, ACT, EBS, CAT, Rule 605/606 is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Relevant certification such as Series 7, 63, or 24 is preferred but not necessary.

Our Team:

Our dedicated Regulatory Reporting team plays a crucial role in maintaining Fidelity’s compliance with trading and customer data reporting standards set by FINRA, the SEC, and other regulatory bodies. By closely collaborating with Trading, Technology, Customer Support, and Compliance/Legal teams, we ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data reported, safeguarding the firm from potential disciplinary actions.

Working Model:

Fidelity supports a hybrid working model, combining the benefits of offsite work with crucial in-person interactions to optimize both associate and business needs. Currently, this role requires onsite attendance for one full week per four-week period, adjusting to two full weeks starting September 2024.
