The Opportunity
The AI team at EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) collaborates with clients across the globe through EY’s partner firms. We are seeking a candidate who can manage multiple data science engagements, interact with clients and EY stakeholders, and introduce innovative ideas, methodologies, and techniques. You should be adept at developing high-performing individuals and teams, motivating team members, and leading effectively. You should also be capable of identifying the most appropriate tools, methods, and processes needed to solve complex problems.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on work and delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI projects.
- Extensive practical experience in NLP, text analytics, and predictive analytics.
- Mentoring junior team members.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Collaborate with leadership to develop future strategies, positioning the Data Sciences team as industry leaders at EY. Develop Points of View (POVs) on Trusted AI, Explainable AI, and current trends in AI and Data Science.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, simplifying complex advanced analytics solutions for clients.
- Expertise in statistical modeling, operations research, or machine learning, with a willingness to learn new areas if not already skilled.
- Experience in deploying machine learning models on-premise or in the cloud.
- Strong analytic problem-solving skills and the ability to approach problems holistically.
- Ability to contribute to operational and strategic planning.
- Up-to-date knowledge of data science and AI trends and the ability to apply this knowledge in various contexts.
- Capability to integrate diverse viewpoints, data sources, and techniques to solve client problems.
- Strong relationship management skills to establish and build partnerships with clients, EY partners, senior leadership, peers, and juniors.
- Proficiency in data science tools such as Python, R, or SAS.
- Leadership skills to manage tasks through a team of 15-30 people or more. This role is not suitable for those seeking an individual contributor position.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others, being a people-oriented leader.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, or a related field (engineers with data science experience are welcome to apply).
- A Master’s Degree or PhD in a quantitative field is preferred.
- An MBA degree is highly desired.
- 10 years (M) / 15 years (SM) of experience in applied advanced analytics.
- 5 years (M) / 10 years (SM) of project and people management experience.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with advanced data modeling techniques such as linear and logistic regression, ARIMA, cluster analysis, and machine learning.
- 5 years (M) / 10 years (SM) of experience working with business partners and building relationships.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Client management skills.
