About the Role

The Strategic Finance and Analytics team at Zendesk is central to decision-making and insights for pivotal company-wide initiatives. We drive Business Intelligence (BI) projects, deliver key metric reporting, and forecasting. Our team is seeking a passionate data professional with a strong blend of technical skills and business acumen to provide essential reports and insights to our leadership, including the CFO and C-Staff. You will be part of an impactful team playing a pivotal role in scaling and delivering strategic analytics across multiple departments such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Enterprise Data, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop SQL queries and perform ad hoc data analyses to uncover trends and drivers.
  • Regularly report findings and key metrics to leadership, including C-Staff, to inform decision-making.
  • Utilize technical skills and business acumen to perform analyses, build presentations, and create dashboards to generate insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on metrics definitions and analyses.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Data and Analytics team on technical requirements and analysis.

About You

You are driven by curiosity and have a knack for uncovering insights behind the numbers. With excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, you possess the strategic vision to see the bigger picture while appreciating granular details. You excel at framing business questions with data and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage various audiences. A motivated self-starter, you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or strategy consulting.
  • Proficiency in SQL; experience with BigQuery is a plus.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Google Sheets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Previous SaaS experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in building financial models and creating automated reports and dashboards.

Please note that candidates for this position must be physically located in Mexico City (CDMX) or Mexico State (Estado de Mexico).
