Job Opportunity: Geography Data Analyst at IQVIA

We are currently seeking an accomplished Data Analyst with expertise in geography data and geospatial concepts. This role is integral to supporting the development, review, and delivery of spatial data analysis applications for internal and external stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise geodatabases to support spatial databases, data governance, and operations.
• Collaborate with various teams, including production, technology, data science, and consulting, to report pharmaceutical sales data effectively.
• Handle a diverse range of healthcare data, including information from pharmacies, hospitals, and medical centers. This includes managing names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, coordinates, and custom geography concepts.
• Utilize strong technical skills in Python and SQL to manipulate and analyze data.
• Apply your understanding of geography data specific to Australia and New Zealand to map and analyze data sets for our clients.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly technical individual with strong analytical skills. While healthcare knowledge is beneficial, your ability to manipulate and analyze data is paramount. Key attributes include:

• Technical proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong conceptual understanding of mapping data concepts.
• An innovative mindset geared towards process improvement and efficiency.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of geography data in the context of the Healthcare Industry, particularly in Australia and New Zealand. This knowledge will be immediately utilized in a core project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medical Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with geospatial analysis and mapping software is a plus.
