Position Summary
At Hillenbrand, our Global Supply Chain Data Analysts play a pivotal role in interpreting extensive data sets and transforming them into actionable insights. You will be crucial in driving informed business decisions and contributing to ongoing improvements in our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
- Analyze large datasets related to supply chain operations using statistical techniques.
- Convert data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor business performance and execute root cause analyses to provide strategic insights on historical data and current operations.
Data Visualization and Reporting
- Develop compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex insights.
- Maintain KPI dashboards to track and improve supply chain performance.
Data Cleaning
- Perform data processing, cleaning, and validation to ensure data integrity.
- Execute error analysis to enhance decision models and dashboards.
- Engage in data governance processes to elevate data quality.
Supply Chain Sustainability
- Work with sustainability teams to assess and lessen the environmental impact of supply chain operations.
- Analyze sustainability metrics and recommend improvement strategies.
Data Integration
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and maintain data from various sources, including ERP systems and external providers.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain analytics and data analysis.
- Enhance models and algorithms to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analysis, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis within a supply chain or logistics role.
- Proficiency in mathematics, statistical analysis, and SQL.
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative abilities.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, SAS, or R.
- Experience with supply chain management systems and ERP software.
