Job Description

We are seeking world-class AI Software Engineering graduate interns to help define the future of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the R&D organization in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Prototype and iterate on algorithmic concepts such as dynamic execution for LLM interference optimization, and KV caching for Intel AI hardware.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate large-scale language models and generative AI systems for varied domains and applications.
  • Develop and maintain software tools and libraries that support machine learning workflows.
  • Research the latest advancements in generative AI technologies, frameworks, and algorithms. Identify opportunities for their application within the organization.
  • Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 6+ months of experience with Machine Learning toolkits like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Willingness to commit to a 6-month internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with building Deep Learning applications.
  • Publication record at conferences.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python for ML-based applications.
  • Understanding of Generative AI model technologies/algorithms such as transformers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality products.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Clear and confident communication with partner teams.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive pay, stock options, bonuses, and benefits programs covering health, retirement, and vacation.

Annual Salary Range for roles in California: $63,000.00 - $166,000.00 (dependent on location and experience).

Work Model

This role supports a hybrid work model, allowing employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel location and off-site. In certain circumstances, the work model may adjust to meet business needs.
