Role Overview
As the Director of the Enterprise PMO, you will oversee the program management framework, aligning program goals with the company’s strategic objectives. You will lead the PMO team in planning, executing, and finalizing programs according to strict deadlines and budgets, integrating the OKR framework for clarity and measurable outcomes. This role involves regular interaction with senior and C-level executives to drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement PMO processes and policies, including the integration of the OKR framework to enhance strategic alignment and execution across the organization.
- Direct program management staff and collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop programs.
- Engage regularly with senior and C-level executives to align program outcomes with strategic business goals and gain executive sponsorship for key initiatives.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated programs to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
- Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the program and arrange for recruitment or assignment of program personnel.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of program management toolkits and methodologies, including the adoption and refinement of the OKR framework.
- Prepare program status reports and keep management, clients, and others informed of program status and related issues.
- Confer with program staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Manage the strategic aspects of large engagements and mitigate any risk.
- Oversee senior project managers and program management teams to ensure the delivery of business outcomes and alignment with the enterprise’s strategic goals through effective use of OKRs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in program management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within a PMO.
- Strong understanding of program management principles, methodologies, and tools, including agile and traditional approaches.
- Proven experience implementing and managing the OKR framework within a large organization.
- Demonstrated experience in driving initiatives and change at senior executive and C-suite levels.
- Proven ability to manage a team and large-scale programs across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Experience in implementing PMO strategy, operating model, and governance frameworks.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certifications highly regarded.
