Sales Engineer Role

Fortanix is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with at least 7 years in enterprise sales engineering in infrastructure, cloud, or security vendors. This role is crucial for revenue goals through innovative technical programs and customer-facing activities.
Responsibilities:

  • Consultative Selling: Engage prospects in a consultative sales process integrating Fortanix into their core security operations.
  • Discovery: Understand prospects' technical requirements early in the sales process and propose solutions.
  • Technical Evaluations: Oversee successful customer evaluations and proof of concept deployments in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Demos and Training: Create and document customer demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of Fortanix products and core technology.
  • Market Feedback: Gather product and market feedback to guide new product developments.
  • Customer Success: Ensure clients maximize their investment in Fortanix, fostering strong renewals and upsell opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an SE for enterprise IT security and infrastructure.
  • Experience in complex enterprise sales processes.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Understanding of HSM and various crypto interfaces.
  • Experience with cloud HSM and KMS solutions.
  • Familiarity with HSM and KMS use cases.
  • Hands-on and proactive approach in a start-up environment.
  • Experience selling to Global 1000/Financial Services companies.
  • Strong consultative selling and technical collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaboration skills with both external and internal teams.
  • BA/BS in a technical field; security certifications like CISSP or Security+.
