Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Leverage various data sources to derive insights and build innovative solutions.
  • Predictive Modeling: Develop robust statistical models based on solid principles of consumer behavior and retail geography.
  • Programming: Utilise regression analysis and other analytical techniques in statistical software programs, and encode these models into other environments effectively.
  • Collaboration: Foster a culture of innovation and constructive criticism. Collaborate with project stakeholders and communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Workflow Management: Maintain clear and consistent workflows and data documentation. Manage multiple projects with varying complexity, balancing priorities and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Geography, Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of consumer behavior principles, market research, and retail geography.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming with SAS, JMP, R, Stata, SPSS, or other similar software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables, look-ups, and advanced filtering.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts such as correlation, variance, significance, and predictive model fitting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings internally and to potential data partners.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions independently.
  • High commitment to accuracy and transparency.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Alteryx, Python, Tableau, SQL, or GIS/mapping platforms.
  • Master’s degree.
