HR Data and Insights Specialist (Total Reward)

Bristol, London, or Birmingham – Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 remote).

The HR Data & Insights Specialist role in the People Reporting & Analytics team at BT plays a crucial part in unlocking insights from our extensive people data ecosystem. You will be key in developing data analysis that supports our analytics strategy, contributing to optimized decision-making and enhancing our Total Reward approach across the Group.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Total Reward team to enhance reporting capabilities for compensation and benefits data.
• Translate Total Reward data into actionable insights through impactful visualizations and storytelling.
• Employ data-driven techniques to align HR strategies and business initiatives, focusing on Total Reward metrics and analytics.
• Analyze data related to headcount, compensation, benefits, attrition, hiring, diversity and inclusion, and sentiment to inform Total Reward insights.
• Collaborate with HR, CoEs, and business stakeholders to identify how data can influence people and business priorities.
• Deliver consistent reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) supporting key operational and business rhythms, including pay gap reviews and engagement surveys.
• Manage and respond to ad hoc reporting requests using our “front door” request management tool.

Required Skills and Experience

• Advanced MS Excel skills or experience with other data analysis tools for quick manipulation and analysis of large data sets.
• Experience with Total Reward data, identifying trends and insights for decision-makers.
• Strong data visualization skills to convert data into compelling insights.
• Exceptional storytelling skills to present analysis visually and persuasively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with HR, Total Reward, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, concise messages.
• Restless curiosity and eagerness to learn and champion smart ways of working.
