BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) is excited to offer internship opportunities for motivated college students and recent graduates eager to contribute to our mission of providing peace of mind through better health. Our internships are well-paid and feature flexible schedules tailored for student needs.

Internship Details and Schedule

The majority of our interns join us for the summer period from May through August, though internship openings are available year-round subject to workload and budget allowances. Internship roles generally require a commitment of at least 20 hours per week, expanding to full-time during the summer months.

Eligibility and Educational Requirements

Suitable candidates should be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and should have completed at least two years of college education. Recent graduates, as well as Master's and Doctoral students, are also welcome to apply. Please note that full-time BCBST employees are not eligible for this program. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 and provide transcripts upon request.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for interns with strong prioritization skills, who can work independently and manage time and resources efficiently. Effective communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Specific roles may require additional skills in programming and coding, particularly with Python and SQL.

Intern Position: Data Analyst

Preferred majors for the Data Analyst intern role include Data Science, Data Analytics, and Computer Science. The role is particularly suited for those with experience or skills in programming, Python, SQL, and data query handling.
