Required Education:

• Knowledge in Informatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields and interest in biological research problems.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques.
• Master's Student in Bioinformatics & Data Science.

Other requirements:

• Experience in Molecular Dynamics simulations is a plus.
• Experience with Python and/or bash.
• Basic knowledge of supercomputer calculations
• Languages: Fluent in Italian. English is desirable.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Good communication skills

What will you do? 

The Discovery Data Science Centre of Excellence (DDS CoE) aims to use high throughput technologies such as next-generation sequencing, structural biology, and advanced bioinformatics to analyze DNA sequences to answer questions about the biology and impact of vaccination on different diseases. The main research interests include the role of membrane composition in the function and stability of antigen-antibody complexes. You will combine molecular dynamic simulations with state-of-the-art AI structural prediction to unveil the role of Lipopolysaccharides and Lipid membrane composition on the antibody-antigen interaction.

The project is to shed light on the role of Lipopolysaccharides and Lipid membrane composition on the antibody-antigen interaction. Molecular Dynamics (MD) can overcome the current experimental limitations and investigate the effect of membrane composition on the function and stability of membrane proteins. By applying MD and AI approaches, you will investigate the combined role of lipids and lipopolysaccharides on the antigen-antibody interactions.
