Position: Jr. Analytics Engineer - Data Solutions

As a Junior Analytics Engineer, you will be a crucial part of the HHDDA Commercial Data Solutions team. Your role will involve developing analytical data products to support data science and analytics initiatives. You will work closely with data product owners to translate requirements and user stories into actionable development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop last-mile data products using the latest technologies and best DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to drive data modeling and feature engineering activities.
  • Acquire domain expertise and business acumen to navigate data source nuances.
  • Create automated data models aligned with use case requirements.
  • Ensure reusability, governance, and compliance of analytical data products.
  • Implement semantic layers for analytics data products.
  • Support data stewards and engineers in maintaining data catalogs, quality measures, and governance frameworks.

Educational Qualifications:

B.Tech / B.S., M.Tech / M.S., or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Data Science, Business, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and AWS.
  • Experience with commercial/marketing analytics datasets.
  • Understanding of requirements provided by Data Product Owners and Lead Analytics Engineers.
  • Experience with creating or adopting data models.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and storage/compute services (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Experience with modern data stack tools like Matillion, Starburst, and ThoughtSpot.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in marketing strategy and commercial execution for pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Certifications in AWS or modern data technologies.
  • Knowledge of the commercial/marketing analytics landscape.
  • Experience building data models for data science and visualization/reporting products.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
