Amazon is looking for a Transportation Performance Analyst to become part of Amazon's European Special Handling (EU SH) team. The EU SH team manages the complete Heavy/Bulky process from fulfillment, supply chain to daily transportation business and its strategic vision in Europe. Amazon maintains a data-driven decision-making culture, and requires business intelligence that is timely, accurate and operational. We generate loads of data in our daily operations, which aids us in making key business decisions. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves handling large transactional volumes and big data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts (that are typically being defined in real time), and, most importantly, is enthusiastic about data and analytics. As an Analyst, you'll develop SQL/ETL queries, access our data warehouse and redshift clusters, create automated reports via macros, develop relevant KPIs and metrics for team and transportation operations performance. You'll also publish daily/weekly performance reports and provide us with business insights from data to further enhance our operations and processes. A successful candidate loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and handling big data from a variety of sources, and passionately collaborates with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results. You should have a natural curiosity to answer "why?" questions, excellent analytical abilities and robust technical skills. Responsibilities: - Create metrics, performance dashboards and reports - Conduct root cause analysis - Liaise with cross-functional teams and/or carriers/vendors to implement project/program requirements - Manage multiple projects/initiatives - Communicate effectively at all levels, with the ability to present information in a professional & concise manner, supported by data We're open to hiring candidates based in the following locations: Barcelona, ESP Basic Qualifications: - Experience working with data - Advanced knowledge of MS - especially Excel - B2/C1 English proficiency Preferred Qualifications: - VBA, SQL or other coding experience to support automation initiatives - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or QuickSight - Business process improvement experience, Lean/Six Sigma - Proven independent decision-making skills in an often ambiguous environment - Quantitative and qualitative thinking abilities regarding operating processes and outcomes - Previous experience within the transportation or logistics industry.
