As we continue to expand, we are in search of a Key Account Director to join our rapidly growing Life Sciences team. This role will focus on cultivating and expanding global client relationships with leading biopharmaceutical organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a global account strategy in coordination with scientific and business operations teams.
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals for all Tempus product lines while achieving strategic objectives for specific client accounts.
  • Build and maintain executive and R&D relationships, driving our CXO strategy with Tempus senior leadership.
  • Become an expert in partner strategies, pipelines, and portfolios to proactively leverage the Tempus platform for innovation.
  • Negotiate, secure, and manage contracts with assigned client accounts.
  • Align cross-functional teams to efficiently identify and deliver value to clients.
  • Partner with clients to develop impactful case studies that showcase the Tempus platform in advancing precision medicine.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding client responses and suggestions, maintaining a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Track progress against strategic objectives and revenue goals, regularly reviewing with the broader account team and Tempus leadership.
  • Travel approximately 40% of working time, both domestically and internationally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years in Business Development and Sales in the Life Sciences sector as a lead account and relationship manager (Pharma/Biotech).
  • Preferably 5+ years working with companies that serviced Life Sciences in Research & Development or Real World Data.
  • Proven track record of establishing credibility as a trusted advisor with clients.
  • Experience negotiating and closing large, complex multi-year deals.
  • Strong understanding of molecular data and artificial intelligence in drug discovery.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Business discipline; Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or Healthcare certification) is desired.
