Language Data Annotator

Position: Language Data Annotator (Full-time, Fixed-Term 6 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: India

Summary

We are in search of a meticulous Language Data Annotator to join our team. You will be responsible for annotating and analyzing language data to support the development of our cutting-edge AI and natural language processing products. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently will be essential in delivering high-quality data and insights to the research team.

This role is a key part of the Radarr ML engineering team, focusing on language detection and sentiment analysis across a variety of public social channels and languages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately annotate text data following detailed guidelines to identify linguistic features and categories.
  • Collaborate with the research team to resolve data ambiguities and provide feedback on the annotation process.
  • Perform qualitative error analysis and provide actionable insights to improve data quality.
  • Support the creation of language datasets for model training and evaluation.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc data-related tasks as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Native or near-native proficiency in English and Malay. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in a computerized environment, ideally with productivity software and text editors.
  • 1+ years of experience in language data annotation, manipulation, and analysis, with familiarity in annotation tools being preferred.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in customer service/contact center roles.
