PUR Projet is currently seeking a talented Lead Data Analyst to be based in Indonesia.

Position Overview

As the Lead Data Analyst, you will define data pipelines and architecture in collaboration with Data Engineers. You will leverage our data to gain insights on our Nature/Technology Based Solutions (NBS/TBS), with a focus on enhancing data quality and identifying patterns for data-driven decision-making. You'll synthesize your findings into dashboards to support our company’s growth. Ensuring our data stack captures, stores, and processes field realities effectively will be key. You will also develop tools for all teams, the Executive Committee, and external stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory and causal analysis of collected data to identify correlations and trends.
  • Provide insights into planting and project effectiveness, creating visualizations for data representation.
  • Gather and integrate relevant secondary data for exploratory analysis.
  • Recommend improvements for field data collection and overall data quality based on analysis.
  • Define NBS performance indicators with the Central Data Team and share strategic recommendations.
  • Manage and prioritize project team requests following Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Mentor and support team members’ career development, and provide technical training to the regional Data Team.
  • Collaborate actively with Data Team members in other regions to identify common needs and synergies.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst / Data Scientist / Statistician position.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing fully remote teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with Jupyter Notebooks is a plus.
  • Experience in data visualization; please provide a link to your repository or portfolio if available.
  • Knowledge of causal analysis is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience with digital products is a plus.
  • Ability to decompose work into technical tasks to meet user stories or technical requirements; experience with Jira is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • An understanding of data governance and best practices.
  • Background in sustainability or impact, or at least a strong interest in these areas.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of an additional Asian language is preferred.

This position can be fully remote, with occasional trips to our Jakarta office as needed.
