Job Summary:
Driven by swift growth, a plethora of data-related exploration opportunities and challenges arise. SmithRx's Data Analytics team is pioneers in handling vast sums of data, resolving their intricacies, and utilizing their insights to generate value for current and prospective clients. We are seeking a Data Analytics Lead to assist us in these exciting initiatives.
The Data Analytics Lead will serve as part of SmithRx's growing Data Analytics team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics. Initially, you will act as a go-between for the data team and our stakeholder teams, which fall under three broad categories: Commercial Strategy, Operational Efficiency, and Customer Satisfaction. You will oversee the data team's day-to-day interaction with these stakeholder teams, ensuring they are equipped with the resources required for effective operation. Over time, the Data Analytics Lead will assume increasing supervision of one of these verticals.
The Data Analytics Lead will support junior team members in delving into our data, hunting for business insights to address key business demands and conveying them to decision-makers. In addition, you will guide the team in exploring the nuances of our data - identifying patterns and uncovering trends that will inform our business comprehension and contribute to our strategic framework for years to come. Lastly, you will pave the way in creating inventive metrics and attractive visualizations for reporting that effectively communicate our value proposition and enhance the SmithRx product.
Our objective is for the Data Analytics Lead to utilize their analytical rigor, business acumen, and prior experience to highlight the robust, meaningful, and cost-effective product offering we provide for our clients and members.
What will you do:
Lead efforts to partner closely with our stakeholder teams to ensure all near and long-term needs are defined, documented, and incorporated into the Data Analytics team's product roadmap.
Provide thought leadership for best methodologies and shape the team's approach to data cleaning, governance, analysis, visualization, and dissemination.
Guide team members in conducting thorough, insightful analysis to answer not only the "what and when" questions but also the "hows and whys".
Create visual portrayals that tell clear, compelling stories and illustrate the real-world impact of SmithRx's value proposition for customers.
Manage impromptu tickets via the team's helpdesk system, ensuring all tasks are suitably assigned and have a definitive timeline for completion.
Provide comprehensive mentorship to the team, shaping daily operations and the 3-5 year vision for the Data Analytics team.
What will you bring to SmithRx:
7-10 years of work experience in managing, interrogating, deriving insights from, visualizing, and presenting data is required (Healthcare and/or pharmacy experience preferred).
Bachelor's degree is required / advanced degree is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in SQL is required.
Advanced proficiency in Looker is required.
Experience with additional data analysis tools (Python, R, Java, etc.) is preferred.
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is required.
Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools is required.
Exposure to Amazon Web Services (e.g. Redshift, SageMaker, S3 etc.) is preferred.
Strong analytical skills, ability to think critically about data and their implications; experience integrating extensive data from diverse sources.
An eagerness and excitement to learn about the pharmacy industry data.
Strong communication skills, both in meetings and written correspondence.
Self-starter attitude: ability to make informed decisions, find innovative solutions to difficult challenges, and deliver on commitments.

Preferred location is San Francisco, but remote position can be considered for strong candidates.
