Position Overview: Lead Data Engineer, Databricks - Gurugram, Haryana, India

As a seasoned member of our agile product team, you will take on the role of a Lead Data Engineer, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining scalable and effective data pipelines. Using tools like Databricks, SQL, and Python, you'll work hand-in-hand with data scientists, software developers, and analysts. Your primary goal will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions aligning with business needs. Reporting directly to the Principal/Lead Data Engineer, your influence will be crucial to our ongoing projects.

Required Skills and Experience

We're looking for an expert with:

• 6+ years’ experience in Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark™, Cloud Native, Data Lakes, and Databricks.
• Proven track in delivering robust ETL/ELT solutions, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, integration, and management.
• Strong proficiency in Python for automation, writing unit tests using frameworks like Nutter, Unittest, Pytest.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, and familiar with CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts and best practices.

Good to Have

Additional qualifications include:

• Background in the retail domain and understanding of entities such as POS, Products, Customer, Inventory.
• Exposure to Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Experience with near real-time data processing and cloud migration methodologies.
• Azure/AWS/Databricks certifications.
