Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and high-performing individual to join our team as a Lead Data Engineer. This senior technical leadership role is crucial for designing, building, deploying, and supporting data integration for BI reporting, analytic solutions, and application integration solutions using Python, AWS Glue, and other supporting tools and services. Our Delivery team is involved in exciting projects using leading-edge technologies, leveraging our AWS Cloud-based data platform for advanced analytics and data science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide coding and design leadership in the construction and maintenance of robust and efficient data applications and reusable frameworks.
• Develop data pipelines in an AWS Cloud environment using Python and AWS Glue (PySpark) technology.
• Mentor and guide other data developers across various locations, ensuring all code follows applicable standards and is efficient and maintainable.
• Translate requirements into detailed functional and technical designs using architecturally approved technology.
• Deliver solutions according to the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, tailored for both waterfall and agile projects.

Requirements:

• 7 to 10 years experience developing solutions for data warehouse loads and system integrations using ETL tools.
• Minimum 2 years experience developing data pipelines using AWS Glue.
• Strong competency in SQL and Big Data tools. Experience with Python scripting, PySpark, Hive, HDFS, Tez, and Spark is preferred.
• Proven ability in leading diverse teams and interfacing with technical teams.
• Experience in an Agile work environment is essential.
