We rely heavily on Snowflake, Airflow, Fivetran, dbt, and Looker for our business intelligence, and we partner closely with AWS across our engineering teams. This might involve Change Capture, Change Data Control, and other "delta loading" approaches. - Discovering, transforming, testing, deploying, and documenting data sources. - Upholding, defining, and advocating data warehouse governance: data quality, testing, best coding practices, and peer review. - Building Looker Dashboard for use cases when necessary. What makes you a great fit: - You have over seven years of extensive development experience using Snowflake or a similar data warehouse technology. - You have practical experience with dbt and other technologies of the modern data stack, such as Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Fivetran, AWS, git, Looker. - You are familiar with agile processes such as SCRUM. - You have extensive experience writing advanced SQL statements and tuning them for performance. - You have experience in data ingestion using custom or SAAS tools like Fivetran. - You understand data modeling and can optimize existing/new data models. - You have experience in data mining, data warehouse solutions, ETL, and using databases in a business setting with extensive, complex datasets. - Experience in designing analytical databases (in a Data Mesh architecture) is a plus. - You have experience working in an agile cross-functional delivery team. - You uphold high development standards, especially for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration, and deployment.
