Job Summary
As a Lead Software Engineer within the innovative Consumer & Community Banking Data Technology team at JPMorgan Chase, you play a pivotal role in designing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products. Your expertise enables the creation of secure, stable, and scalable solutions that support the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Design and execute creative software solutions, pushing beyond conventional approaches to overcome technical challenges and enhance system functionality.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, secure production code. Conduct thorough reviews and provide valuable feedback on codes authored by your peers.
- Proactively identify and streamline processes to automate and remediate recurring software issues, significantly improving the operational stability of systems.
- Lead technical evaluations with both internal teams and external vendors to assess architectural designs, ensuring their integration and functionality within the existing systems.
- Foster and lead communities of practice within the field of Software Engineering, promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices.
- Contribute to an inclusive team culture, emphasizing values such as diversity, equity, and respect.
- A minimum of 5 years in software engineering with formal training or certification in relevant concepts.
- Extensive hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a strong grasp on automation and continuous delivery practices.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated expertise in a technical discipline such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT frameworks, along with practical experience in cloud-native environments.
- Significant experience working directly with code and technical problem-solving at an advanced level.
