About the Role

As a key member of our agile team, you will lead efforts to develop and implement robust technological solutions that meet and exceed our business and efficiency goals. Your responsibilities include:

  • Creative problem-solving through software design, development, and technical troubleshooting, going beyond conventional methods to innovate and enhance functionality.
  • Code development and review, producing secure, high-quality production code and refining code authored by others to ensure superior software performance.
  • Automation and improvement of operations by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce recurring issues.
  • Leading evaluations with potential tech partnerships, challenging and influencing the integration and implementation processes for new systems.
  • Community leadership in software engineering, driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and promoting a culture of technical excellence.

What You Need to Bring

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software engineering with formal training or certification.
  • Expertise in ETL, Data Warehouse systems, and proficiency in handling structured data using SQL.
  • Advanced skills in at least one programming language like JAVA, Python, or PySpark.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies such as CI/CD.
  • Substantial experience within the financial services industry's IT systems.
  • Cloud-native practical experience is crucial.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge in modern front-end technologies and experience with Spark and cloud platforms like AWS, DataBricks, or Nifi.
  • Experience in Data Modeling & Analysis and familiarity with data modeling tools preferably ERWIN.
