About the Role: Machine Learning Engineer II

As a Machine Learning Engineer II at CodaMetrix, you will play a critical role in evolving proof-of-concept ideas into high-quality product solutions. Collaborating closely with data scientists, product owners, and backend engineers, you will understand requirements and performance criteria to deliver robust, scalable AI-driven products. This position reports directly to the Director of Architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in all team activities, including agile ceremonies and peer reviews of designs and code.
• Design, build, and maintain ML infrastructure that supports both the development team and production environments.
• Process and refine data to ensure compatibility with our ML infrastructure.
• Create pipelines and develop models that support production needs.
• Develop and enforce processes for seamless transition of projects from proof-of-concept to production levels.
• Uphold best practice principles in software development across the team.
• Collaborate extensively across various teams to promote the development and deployment of new ML initiatives and monitor post-deployment performance.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with significant exposure to Machine Learning, AI, or Data Science. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and over 4 years of software development experience will also be considered.
• At least two years of experience in professional software development.
• Deep understanding of software development best practices including version control, CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform).
• Proven expertise with ML methodologies and knowledge of analysis and testing of ML algorithms. Experience with NLP is a bonus.
• Experience with cloud platforms; AWS experience preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and Python. Familiarity with Java, Scala, and SparkSQL is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of Linux environments and Docker.
• Background in Spark and Databricks is advantageous.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work with healthcare data and understanding of the US healthcare system.
• Familiarity with deep learning and Large Language Models.
• Expertise in big data and distributed computing architectures.
• Contributions to ML community or open-source projects, particularly in healthcare.
• Experience in a dynamic startup environment.

Benefits and Location

This full-time role offers a competitive salary starting at $130,000, plus extensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life and disability insurance, a generous 401(k) plan, and unlimited PTO.
