Team Overview

Dialpad’s Ai Engineering team is at the core of our innovation, working closely with Data Science, Telephony, and Product Engineering. This team draws from a diverse set of skills in Distributed Systems Engineering, DevOps, MLOps, and Data Engineering to scale and enhance Dialpad’s AI offerings.

Your Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and expand the software engineering team that spearheads the real-time transcription inference, ML inference, and LLM scalability. Reporting directly to our Chief Ai Officer, and cooperating with other Engineering Managers, you'll play a crucial role in guiding career development, strategic planning, and technical execution. This role offers flexibility with the option to be based in our Buenos Aires office or work remotely within the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and nurture a range of engineers from juniors to highly experienced ones.
  • Steer architectural and scaling decisions to meet burgeoning business demands.
  • Conduct resource management, project planning, and execution of significant projects.
  • Enhance our engineering processes and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Preferred Skills

You ideally have 5-8 years of technical experience with distributed systems and at least 2 years in leadership. Proficiency in Python, GitHub/VCS, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP/Cloud is expected. Close collaboration with Data Science teams is essential.
