Responsibilities
As a Manager in Indirect Procurement, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing strategies to source indirect goods and services to support our business stakeholders and programs.
- Performing analysis to select suppliers and negotiate the best value for Cardinal Health.
- Managing supplier relationships and contract compliance to maximize financial deliverables and mitigate risks.
- Working within various procurement systems to enable purchasing activities and resolve technical issues.
Role Expectations
At this level, you are expected to:
- Apply advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert in supplier master data management, including project work, data analysis, and process management.
- Coordinate and supervise daily team operations and business support.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals.
- Recommend new practices, processes, metrics, or models.
- Lead complex projects of large scope with significant and long-term impact.
- Provide solutions that may set precedents and determine methods for new project completions.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues and help develop, monitor, and communicate performance metrics.
- Administer and execute policies and procedures of the Sourcing Organization and Cardinal Health.
- Ensure employees operate within guidelines and performance expectations.
- Make decisions that have a direct impact on work unit operations and customers.
- Frequently interact with subordinates and peer groups at various management levels.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 8-12 years of master data management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A minimum of 6 years of leadership experience.
- Ability to lead, develop, and train teams.
- A minimum of 2 years in Sourcing/Procurement or a related field; indirect supplier or other data management experience is a plus.
