As a Manager of Software Engineering within the Consumer & Community Banking Risk division at JPMorgan Chase, you will lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities. Your role will involve identifying and escalating issues, ensuring that your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and best practices. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, while partnering continuously with stakeholders to stay focused on common goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Design Enterprise Machine Learning platforms capable of running predictive models.
• Apply knowledge of machine learning model frameworks, algorithms, and tools for building ML solutions.
• Provide guidance to your team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
• Set the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
• Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
• Create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritize diverse representation.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience in Python, Spark, or Bigdata concepts.
• 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
• Proficiency in Machine Learning Frameworks and Big Data technologies such as Spark & Hadoop.
• Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Proficient in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Experience working at code level and with build tools like Maven and source control like Git/SVN.
• Experience in performance tuning and code optimization.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Additional experience in building ML Models, including model accuracy and tuning.
• Experience working with Data structured and NLP models.
